Statement of Faith

His Place Ministries is a nondenominational Christian mission. His Place was founded by congregations aligned with the Restoration Movement, which taught:

• In essentials, unity; in opinions, liberty; and in all things, love.

• We are Christians only, but we are not the only Christians.

• We follow no creed but Christ.

As a Nondenominational Christian ministry, we recognize Jesus Christ as the head of the Church and practice Biblical leadership locally and independently.

God

We believe there is one true God, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is God’s only begotten Son. We believe that Jesus is both fully human and fully divine. Jesus lived a sinless life, willingly offered himself as a sacrifice for our sins, and was raised from the dead. Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and will return to earth to fully establish His Kingdom eternally. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved and redeemed.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is present in the world. Upon conversion, all believers receive the Holy Spirit, through whom our relationship with God deepens and from whom each person in the body of Christ is given unique gifts for serving others.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, authoritative word, given to us for teaching and growing in righteousness.

Our Mission is to overcome poverty and trauma together with communities transformed by God’s loving care.

Our Vision is to create educational opportunities that provide pathways to success; to support families and encourage strong relationships as the foundation for resilience; we invest in our community to build up neighborhoods that are livable for all; and we share our faith that God’s purpose for everyone is to rejoice and grow in His abiding love.
